Get your MacTenna up soon
Sun spot cycle 24 has begun. Soon 17M, 15M, 12M, and 10M will be wide open for DX on a regular basis.
The high powered international broadcasting stations have vacated the 7.1 to 7.2 MHZ section of the 40M band. This has made the 40M band much more useful for night time DX.
These are 2 more reasons to get some effective antennas up soon.
All HF bands can be covered with a single MacTenna switched length dipole. An even beter system is the MacTenna Simple Beam to cover 10M, 12M, 15M, 17M, and 20M, and a MacTenna switched lenght dipole to cover 40M, 80M, and 160M. 30M and 60M can also be covered with MacTenna switched lenght dipole if you use these bands.
